Anniversaries are always special. But when a business hits 40 years, that’s not just a milestone – it’s a full-on reason to throw confetti, eat cake, and maybe start wondering if you should schedule that mid-life checkup. This past year, we had the privilege of helping our client, Powers, celebrate their fabulous 40th year in business.
Born in 1985 – right in the era of big hair, bigger shoulder pads, and Back to the Future – Powers has grown from a scrappy team of 15 in a single Little Rock office to more than 300 team members across nine offices in Arkansas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, and Mississippi. They’ve become an industry-leading name representing SIEMENS in building automation and controls and serving as a go-to manufacturer’s rep for a wide range of HVAC products.
Through it all, one thing hasn’t changed: Powers takes their mission statement “Creating Customers for Life!” seriously. In fact, many of their customers have stuck around for decades – proof that when you combine quality work with genuine relationships, people keep coming back.
Over the years, Powers has tackled some impressive projects: the Arkansas State Capitol, countless hospitals including Baptist Health and UAMS, universities across the state including the University of Arkansas, K-12 schools, the iconic William J. Clinton Presidential Library and Museum, and the state’s largest construction project ever – the brand new Walmart world-wide headquarters campus. (Not bad for a company that started the same year New Coke launched.)
To mark this milestone year, we teamed up with Powers to create a bold 40th anniversary logo and splash it across everything from print ads to billboards. The celebration didn’t stop there – retro hats, commemorative license plates, and even toy “Powers” trucks made the rounds, adding a nostalgic touch to the festivities.
Finally, we rolled out a full-scale anniversary media campaign that included print, digital, social, and outdoor, to thank customers, partners, and team members for making these four decades possible. Because if turning 40 teaches you anything, it’s that you don’t get there alone.
